Flower Power
I just got back from a breakfast seminar by NAWBO colleague Lori Swanson of the Flowerage (Albuquerque). Most of us tend to think of flowers and plants as “nice to have” versus a business tool (stay with me here). In fact, a Texas A&M study found that people are more productive and creative in a workplace with flowers and plants. Men who participated in the study generated 15% more ideas. Women generated more creative, flexible solutions to problems. “Flower Power” can also help build customer loyalty. Another study, by Rutgers found that flowers have an immediate - and universal - impact on happiness. They also found that flowers make intimate connections. Follows that if your prospects and customers are feeling happy and connected with you - they’re much more likely to buy from you (and tell others). So, revisit your marketing tactics and budget and think outside the box (or vase as it where.) I know I am.
