It’s Google’s World - we just live in it.

To paraphrase what Dean Martin once said about Sinatra…

Google is now developing that big chunk of virtual real estate at the bottom of their page. Nice way to get a lot of people that aren’t up on/don’t really need RSS feeds, etc. (yet)…and I like that you can personalize it. Still a nice clean look uncluttered by tabloid style ads and text. It takes about 30 seconds to set up and, heck, why not? Most of us are going to be looking at the Google page frequently anyway. (In this intro stage - you do need a Google account.)

Google’s business strategy and marketing fascinate me - fast moving, creative, interesting new services - all based on a foundation of good technology, market presence and brand image. (Of course, that foundation can crack tomorrow - the virtual market is so fast-paced.) Would love to eavesdrop on some meetings up Redmond way…

We have lots of gmail (Google’s email account) invitations. If any readers would like one, just send me an email at: okekai at gmail dot com. I’ll send you one! Gmail is still in beta, so the only way to get one is by invitation. Another marketing ploy in and of itself! Roxanne
