“A Catastrophe called Summer.”

In an early morning seminar today that I do with several colleagues…We’re talking about boring but important details like financial reserves for catastrophes. The Executive Director of Roadrunner Food Bank (which feeds hundreds of thousands of families across New Mexico) noted, “I know when my catastrophe is. It comes every summer.” We all laughed, but…seems donations drop dramatically. Somehow when we’re flip-flopping around - living the good life - we forget that people eat year-round, not just in the month of December (when our do-gooder impulses shift into high gear. ) So, keep that in mind when you get the change from your snow cone - your local worthy causes need your help year-round. A little here and there can be a big difference.

(If you’re in NM - you can go here to make a financial contribution to Road Runner. They take credit cards - so get those frequent buyer/flyer points!)
