The Google Dynasty?
…in the ongoing saga of “It’s Google’s World, we just live in it.” Via Bloogle - So, what will they be doing 300 years from now? Here’s the quote from the Google CEO: Chief exec Eric Schmidt told the Journal (that’s Wall Street) “It will take, current estimate, 300 years to organize all of the world’s information.” (My thought - is that the current info or taking into consideration we’re creating new “stuff” at an exponentially growing rate?)
Ahhh, I think I’ve had an “aha!” re the differences between the “get its” and “don’t get its” re the Internet. While us bloggers, surfers, and tech geeks are all looking for more ways to compile even more info, communicate and connect….the rest of the folks are drowning in the sea of information that’s already out there and so have a difficult time understanding why we want even more. Of course, it’s a long way from information to knowledge…yet longer to wisdom.
