Are brains overrated?
As I get ready to turn mine off for the weekend…
In talking with clients and colleagues – as we dissect and critique business, religion, politics, sports, etc. etc. – we sometimes bring ourselves up short with “Um, well, if we’re so smart, how come – ahem – we’re not billionaires…or Pope…or President of the United States?” This is usually where we stop talking and call for another round…
Can’t help but think of all the scary smart people who worked at Enron, for example. All those brains – just accidents looking for a place to happen.
