I’ll take a six-pack of puppies to go, please.

Okay, so I seem to have dogs on the brain today…but in writing my last post re the dogsitter…it brought to mind one of my favorite commercials (and, “favorite” and “commercials” are words I don’t usually use together). They simply flash all kinds of puppies on the screen, .including the “so ugly, they’re cute” baby bulldogs - all, clumsy, pink-nosed, pink bellied, .tumblin’ around. I melt in a puddle, and want a puppy (or better yet, six or seven of ‘em) right then!

But -ahem - can I remember the name of the company that paid big bucks for the commercial and wants me to buy their pet food? Um, well, no. So, they’re definitely on the right track, but…I can’t dash to the store and buy the food if I can’t remember it, and if I get that six pack, I’ll need that food!

Holly Buchanan just sent me an email saying she thought it was Pedigree and their “dogs rule” campaign. If you want to see the cute stuff, see their web site. You can even play the new commercial. It would be much more effective however, if they came up in the search results, versus as a sponsored link. And, the text in their link ad doesn’t say anything to let me know they’re the ones who hooked me with the puppies. Gotta go that last mile, Pedigree. Woof. woof…
