‘Tooni Tunes Time!

Dean Martin Looney Tunes, ‘Tooni Tunes - All I know is it’s Friday and I’m feeling both looney and in need of a ‘tooni. So, it’s the Friday “good news” post! (I’ll get to Dino in a sec.)

Business: Whole Foods will be the first BIG company to go completely with wind power. The Fortune 500 company plans to become the largest buyer of wind energy credits in North America by purchasing credits equal to 100% of its projected energy use for 2006.

Life: For my fellow ol’ boomers, there’s a MySpace cheat sheet. (The kids today are more connected than we ever were! Bodes well methinks for little things like innovation, appreciation of diversity and freedom of speech.)

And, If you love food, dining and NYC - check out Frank Bruni’s blog at the NYT.

Stuff: Mutant Algae is a Hydrogen Factory. Yes, I know. Ick! But, this is good news for alternative energy development. Today, it takes more energy to produce hydrogen fuel (and ethanol) that you get from it. (An inconvenient little fact that that gets lost in all the emotion yah-yahhhing and political lobbying.)

Martini Music Recommendations:
Dean Martin - All-Time Greatest Hits I grew up listening to Dino and it’s comfort food music for me (and goes great with martini drinking!)
One of my top ten “tooni tunes” CDs: The Intimate Ella
