Act NOW to Save the Internet

Save the Net Now
This isn’t a partisan issue (really); it’s about fair and equal access to the Internet. I’m all for being fair to big corporations (even Comcast and Verizon, despite my service problems with them). After all, they are in business to make money and they provide millions of jobs. But the “net neutrality” bill now in Congress would make the Internet anything but “neutral.” Companies could charge more for priority and high-speed pipes, for everything from emails to e-commerce access. And, it’s a slippery slope from there down to censorship and restriction of the freedom of speech.

This will particularly impact small businesses, the “global micro-brands” in particular.

So, I urge you to get busy. Call Congress today and let them know you’re paying attention! Let’s keep the Internet affordable and truly neutral! And, Sign the petition

(Note: Personal phone calls “count” more than petitions or emails with the legislators. Ideally, call, send an email and sign the petition.)
