Friday ‘Tooni Time

Martini Time I’m still way behind in work due to this week’s computer melt-down - but life is too short not to stop and have a little Friday fun (and a martini! Cheers!) I’m also still learning my new iMac, which is sheer joy. Who needs radio, television or a life? It’s all here, sittin’ on my desk! So, this’ll be a very quick ramble through my synapses.

Wisdom From A Client: I learn as much from my clients as they do (I hope) from me. In discussing a business issue that could be very demoralizing, one of mine noted, “On some level I’m attracting this so I can learn from it.” How’s that for looking at something in a whole different way? Really came in handy as I was dealing with computer death. (What I learned this week? Run! Run like the wind and get an Apple! ;-)

Oh, C’mon! I don’t hate Mickey D’s. I don’t think they’re evil incarnate or destroying civilization. I even eat there on occasion. It’s not like they hold a gun to anybody’s head to eat the stuff (or to force their kids to do so.) But, honestly, promoting Hummers in Happy Meals? Whatever happened to stuffed animals? Check it out (and speak up if so inclined.)

Last But Not Least: Episode 200 of SG-1 is on tonight! (If you’re not a Sci-Fi fan, never mind. Us geeks are all atwitter though.) Why has this show lasted so long? Methinks one reason is that the actors seem to be having fun, which carries over into the viewer experience. (Something to noodle on when thinking about your work and employee compensation, hmmm?)

Have a great weekend - and get outta the house - even if you do have an iMac!

    Good Friday “tooni-time” post!

“the actors seem to be having fun, which carries over into the viewer experience”

I think you are right! And I think the old “pattern recognizer in all of us is attracted to people having fun. But that’s just me.

Knew you had to be a SF fan and geek. Me too since I discovered Asimov in my hometown public library.

Keep creating…and stirring, especially on Fridays,
    Mike
