Friday Musings
This is bizarre - seems like I just wrote a Friday post. And here we are again. So, without further ado - some silly (and not so silly) musings to ponder with this evening’s cocktails.
Startling News! We Americans have “The Internets,” “tubes,” and “The Google” - but it’s just as bad in the EU. Politicians have Poor Grasp of Technology. I’m shocked! Really? Well, at least it’s not like these folks have any impact on our lives or our use of technology - um - hey, wait a minute! Uh-oh…Oh dear.
Good News Day. I have to resist the urge to link to Scott Adams pretty much every day - but this post about his reprogramming his brain so he can speak again is truly inspiring (and witty.)
Show Me the Money! Dawn does some good thinking re small businesses, making millions and our definitions of success. Having been a millionaire on paper a time or two, I know how much fun it is to even think what you’d do with all that dinero.
But, as someone said, “Money can only make you comfortable in your misery.” We all know this, yet our society generally persists in making money THE measurement of worth.
Or, as my friend (and fellow Aries) Janet noted - as we consumed our very expensive (and worth it) birthday dinner this year - “We have money, Mary. We just don’t know where it is!”
