Is it going to be more of the same in 2007?
This is a great week for some thinking and reflection. Even if you are back at the office, you likely have some free time. (C’mon, admit it. Your customers are all out at the after-Xmas sales.)
So, here’s the question for you: Are you going to continue to work in the Dilbert dead zone? Or, are you going to take charge? Mike over at Own Your Brand has posted a great list to get you started.
And, as you go through the list, if you find yourself saying something like, “But the CEO won’t let me!” or, “But, my customers just don’t understand!” Stop it, right now. The Dilbert cartoons are amusing, but nobody should really live like that. Nobody has to.

Could you hear me shouting “amen” from way over here in Des Moines!?
Really a treat to be part of the conversation with you Mary.
It’s a blast “thinking out loud” in the blogosphere.
Keep creating,
Mike

Mike,
As always thanks for joining in the conversation.
One sure tip-off for “management by walking around” is to count the number of Dilbert cartoons one sees stuck around. A few is fine, but if there are more than say five out of 30 cubicles, you likely have a zombie problem. (and, you should check your hair for pointy-ness.)
