Amidst all the brohaha about the death of newspapers and traditional publishing comes (via email from Bruce Fryer) a very interesting new writing app, Scrivener, from Literature and Latte (Love that name). I’m planning to take it for a test drive next week.
It appears to be a very sophisticated piece of software and you can download it on-line. Wow! That bulletin board, paper and pen thing I like to do is way outdated, huh? And who needs dead-tree books? However, here’s the logo:

Hmmmm Looks like these people grok that technology should be a tool to make what you already do better - and it should be comfortable. All comes down to: Technology is never going to replace thinking. And software features are never going to replace creativity. (At least not until the Skynet becomes self-aware.)
