Yes, But Are You Doing It?
⇐ The name of my new e-letter is “Stuff You Already Know…But Are You Doing it?” for two reasons:
1. We all instinctively know the difference between good and bad communications; good and bad customer service; good and bad products. Where we run into problems is when we stop thinking like people with brains and hearts - and start thinking like “businesspeople” with bottom lines. How many CEOs would want to jump through their company’s customer service hoops? Have you ever tried to read your product documentation…or called your own office…or gone through your own product return process? Hmmm…
2. Those Pesky Little Tactical Details. It’s one thing to know something - it’s another to be able to actually do it, and do it well. I can read all about English riding…and then get on the horse and bounce right back off. Takes experience, doncha know? Among other things, the teensy handkerchief-sized saddle is very different than the huge western saddle. Plus, horses, like customers, have minds of their own.
I’ve been working in marketing for decades and have learned many lessons (bounced off a lot of horses…) Those lessons can save you time, aggravation and money…and even help you make some $$.
So, you don’t have to try to weed through thousands of books, blogs, and reams of “expert” advice. I’ll simply give you some quick food for thought and action.
And, I walk my talk re brain and heart. I hate junk and c’mons, so I won’t bombard you with junk or ask you for referrals in return for all the wonderful free advice you’re getting. One email, once a month - that’s it. Up to you what you do with it.
