I’m not worried. I know you’re handling it.
I’m working on a new client web site with Mark and Jill at Vario Creative. As such things go, the site is taking longer to get up and running than I’d like. Problems with the hosting; new photos needed; those inexplicable little tech bugs…
When I called my client to give her an update, she said, “I”m not worried. I know you’re handling it.”
Well, that made my day. And so should we all feel about all our business dealings.
That’s why I’m always baffled when people say things like, “I don’t have time to blog.”…or “I don’t have time to play on the computer.”…or “I *sniff* have enough friends.”
Thanks to the Web (and blogging) - my little troubleshootin’ posse has grown a lot this past year. For example, I know I can call on Lena at xynoMedia; graphics gurus Patrick Foster (New Mexico) and Scott Eggers (Salt Lake); hi-tech PR poobah Steve Bosak; Mark and Jill at Vario…I don’t have to worry. They’ll handle it.
(I worked with Scott in Dallas about 15 years ago - found him again through the magic of Google.)
P.S. Bosak will be a guest writer on this blog in 2008. We may even - gasp! - disagree on occasion. Should be fun.
P.P.S. This afternoon I’m going with my client to do her new photos for the site - just for fun. Emily Nash, who did the photos for this site, will be working her magic. I met Emily at an AIBA gathering. I, for one, don’t think I can have “enough” friends…or good business contacts. People buy from people they know and like, not glitzy logos. (Did I mention fun? People like that too!)
