Martini Musing - The Power of Thank You!
It’s Friday and I’m in one of my Pollyanna moods. Really, I don’t think you can’t blame me. I’m sitting here looking out the window at a gorgeous blue sunny sky and snow-capped mountains; I live in New Mexico; I’ve got a huge pile of new, good books to read over the weekend; I’m having lunch with one of my favorite colleagues to kick around some joint marketing ideas…and I’m on top of my “to do” list for the week (which almost never happens.)
So, here’s a Pollyanna thought for you:
Say “Thank You” to everyone today - regardless of how they act. Do your best to mean it. Don’t get defensive. Don’t attack. At a minimum, it’s an interesting exercise. You might just make a positive difference in your (and somebody else’s) day. What goes around really does come around.
And, at martini time, take a few minutes and enjoy the sunset (if you’re where you can see one - even just a sliver of sky.) That’s something else for which to be grateful - and it costs absolutely nothing.
Thank you to all my constant (and occasional) readers!

Mary, I owe you a big one. One of these days, I’ll be sharing that martini with you in person.
Thanks

Mary, Thank you for turning me on to James Lee Burke. I’m now a big Dave Robicheaux fan. Wait, I hear his book calling me now. Gotta go!
