People In Desperate Need of A Good PR Person

“World leaders enjoy 18-course feast banquet as they discuss how to solve global hunger crisis. ”

Now, no reasonable person expects them to gnaw on a moldy crust while huddled around a candle, but - gee, I dunno - maybe they could have survived on three courses? This is the kind of total PR tone deafness that can negate a lot of good work. The leaders could well be doing great things (at least back in their countries…in the G8, not so much. Lots of resolutions, very little follow-through)…but articles like this literally do a world of damage to their credibility.

And this was the “working lunch” Almond oil foam???? Also, I don’t know about you, but wine at a “working lunch” means no working in the afternoon for me.

Hmmm…or maybe they have the same marketing whiz that said, “No, no, really sir, lime green IS your color!”

So, as with pretty much any other day - if you want an instant example of what NOT to do in marketing, just look to politics.
