Martini Musing - Frugal Green Living

Being “green” doesn’t mean you have to buy new “organic free-trade” towels at $40.00 a pop (or recycled glass wine goblets for $60 each. Yikes!) You can do it the old-fashioned way. Use it up. Wear it out. Make it do. (Or just don’t do it.)

Tree Hugger recently published Frugal Green Living with Duh! V-8 moment tips.

Here’s one I really like, from the “Travel Local” section of the post:

Explore new cultures in your hometown: Many of us live in multicultural cities or towns, so we don’t even have to leave our comfort zone to experience a new culture. Try sampling a new cuisine you’ve never tried, or visiting immigrant-owned stores. Once you start chatting with the owners, you’ll be surprised at how much you can learn. ::More in Planet Green

P.S. There is always one more bit of toothpaste in the tube.
Cut it open. (I’ve been doing this for years - you can get another week out of a tube. I wasn’t being green…just cheap..;-)
