The Hard Part of “Social Media” - Walking the Talk

My friend Scott Westerman is regional vice president of a company some don’t like very much - Comcast. But, things are changing - thanks in large part to people like Scott. He’s the Comcast internal champion for social media. And, here’s the hardest part of it all - Scott really walks his talk. He’s willing to put himself out there - Twitter, email, blogging, direct phone number…the whole bit. Unlike some corporate executives - he loves to talk to people and looks at every problem as an opportunity.

In fact, he just posted this today at Duke City Fix, in reply to an unhappy customer post re Comcast.Scott response

(P.S. As some of you may recall - Scott and I became friends after I wrote a post absolutely slamming Comcast. Months later, when he took the job as VP, he googled, found me…we met…and now here we are!)
